Bio

During a visit in 1984 to the Art Gallery of Edwin Matthews in Buckhorn, Ontario, Sally fell in love with watercolour painting. "It was love at first sight, I wanted to do that and even today watercolour and acrylic painting are mediums that excite me every time I take up my brush. When I work on a painting, I feel the paintings paint themselves"

Sally studied at the Ontario Collage of Art in Toronto and has taken workshops from prominent Canadian artists. She divides her time between Tofino, British Columbia and Barra de Navidad, Mexico. Her paintings combine the influences of the beautiful west coast Canadian landscape and the vibrant colours of the Mexican culture.

"I paint from memory, I go for long walks and take in the beauty around me. I paint my inspirations of what I have seen. Mood is a very important aspect of what I am trying to capture."

Her work has mood and soul and is the result of a lifetime and artistic development. Spirituality is a pervading theme of her work.
