Red Sky
Hand built decorative bowl by North Vancouver "primitive potter" Nancy Cramer is adorned with hand made stamps of bears, birds, and ancient looking symbols. Nancy likes art symbols that are primitive, natural, rugged, and west coast and feels the bear imprint captures these elements the most. She uses oxides in the firing process to enhance the detail in the impressions and decorates the vase with craft feathers, real sea shells, dried kelp, and driftwood for a rich and earthy quality. Reds and purples within the glaze enhance the organic look of this beautiful and functional bowl.
