Tonquin Beach
Tonquin Beach park is a small sandy beach within walking distance from the community of Tofino. It is located at the end of the Esowista Peninsula and accessible by a beautiful rainforest trail and boardwalk. The name Tonquin comes from an early trading ship that exchanged glass beads for sea otter pelts with the Tla-o-qui-ahts, and came to an unfortunate end.
This image was taken on an early April morning, capturing the view looking west from Tonquin Beach.
