White Wolf
This large yellow cedar White Wolf is hand carved by Snaw-naw-was First Nation artist and master carver Brian Bob of Nanoose Bay. White Wolf has a natural finish that brings out the beautiful grain of the old growth yellow cedar. Brian works with the natural light colour of yellow cedar, adding soft curves and several delicate moons to create his interpretation of White Wolf. Brian's Indian name is 'Qwuyutsapool' which in his mother's Nuu-chah-nulth language translates to 'policer of the wolves'. The artist created this carving to honour the gift to the world that is White Wolf.
