Emanating inner joy,  'Inner Rain Forest Moment Smile' brings us that reminder. This old growth red cedar burl is was first shaped on a lathe before being hand carved by wood artist Courtney Powell. As Courtney carves, a gentle face emerges  letting the energy of the tree and natural wood grain and characteristics come forth.  The carved mask is showcased on a laminated red cedar base encircled with copper sheeting that has been treated with a home made patina in combination with sawdust to produce a signature pattern on the metal.
