Small Hummingbird Facing Left
A hand carved and stained high mountain pine Hummingbird with abalone shell eye by Snaw-naw-as Nation master carver, Brian Bob.
Some First Nation peoples believe that it is lucky to see a hummingbird before major events such as long hunting trips or when about to travel to other villages. Hummingbird is also known as a messenger of joy, love and healing.
Each Hummingbird is individually carved, even though the design is similar, each hummingbird has variations in the carving design, wood grain and colour and type of abalone shell. No two are the same and may vary from the images shown.
Medium: Hand Carved Pine / Abalone Shell
Width: 3 1/2"
Depth: 3/4"
