Bio

Helen Lechthaler was born and raised near Boundary Bay in Ladner, B.C. Her love for water comes from always living near the ocean. Playing on the mud flats was a regular activity for her as a child and a stimulus of her imagination. Helen combined this love with her passion for art at an early age.
Helen now lives on Vancouver Island where she continues to pursue her artistic expression through painting workshops and learning techniques from prominent instructors.

"I enjoy the technical challenges presented by painting, whether it be water colour or oils." says Helen "At my home on Vancouver Island, there is a large rhododendron garden, which offers me endless challenge in painting close-ups of blossoms."
