Bio

Kim Naylor comes from a family of fishermen, many of whom collected Japanese fishing floats from both sea and shore. As a self taught artisan, Kim has always been attracted to the the beauty and mystery of these rare glass spheres, and working with the floats brought her the name Keeping Afloat for her business.

Living in rural Errington on Vancouver Island, Kim creates jewelry from genuine hand-blown fishing floats that have washed up on remote beaches after traveling the ocean's many currents for untold years. Kim combines the pieces of fishing float glass with abalone, swarovski crystal and sterling silver components to combine earth and water and create truly original west coast treasures.

Her unique west coast collections and designs have something for everyone's taste.
