Dian McCreary's true passion is for fine art black and white photography. She feels that, with black and white, there is greater flexibility for artistic expression while capturing the essence and beauty of the natural world.
Relying on natural light to set the mood, with long exposures Dian captures the ocean's fluidity, the drama of storms and crashing waves on rocky headlands, or softly drifting mists and the interplay of light and shadow on the forest floor.
As a photographer who developes her own gelatin silver photography, Dian considers herself a traditionist while capturing images on film. She hand developes all prints in her darkroom. All images are released in limited edition runs of 50.
