Bio

Mike Neufeld's art is a combination of his passion for well-crafted objects and a life-long eye for the beauty of burl and root configurations.

His long career has encompassed all aspects of the wood-working industry. After his retirement from logging his interest in wood focussed exclusively on wood turning.

Mike finds inspiration in native trees of British Columbia like maple and western yew. In addition he adds exotic woods from Central American species to create interest and contrast in his unique works of art, which include classically shaped segmented vessels, furniture, and open forms.
