Norm Moyen and his wife have felt privileged to have been in the presence of a pod of killer whales while whale-watching in Ucluelet, BC on the west coast of Vancouver Island. His keen observations give fluid lines and movement to his orca (killer whale) carvings which are hand carved in spruce. Norm uses a unique technique to enhance wood grain. He burns the carving to create a dark finish. This wood burning is Norm Moyen's signature style. Each killer whale wall hanging can be displayed diving, surfacing, or swimming horizontally.
