Soft in colour, with reddish accents of the natural grain and outer bark, this free form plate has unique, organic visual appeal.  Hand carved from an irregular Alder Burl, the natural grains, openings, and shape of the burl have been crafted to create a lacy effect.

Ted lets the wood tells its own story by working within its limits, following the natural lines, and not forcing his own designs on the burl.
