Eagle With Salmon
Coast Salish carving of eagle (yux-wo-la) delivering salmon to the people. The salmon is brought to the river to help the nation. In the river salmon would lay eggs of their off springs that would return to the river laying eggs of following generations. The people are still eating because of the eagle.
Coast Salish carver Mel Good has carved this magestic eagle in yellow cedar that has been stained and polished.
