From island to island, large to small, it is easy to find the remnants of habitation of the first people who populated these islands.  Even in a very small bay you'll find a shining white beach composed of deeply built up pieces of broken clam shells and barnacles.  Often it was so long ago that people lived here cedar trees have grown up through and in the beach obscuring it from sight.  This secret bay catches the light in a beautiful way, it's one of my favorites.
