Designer Robert Andrews made this stunning and unique west coast Arbutus wood jewelry box from island reclaimed wood.
The natural-edge Arbutus tree bark adds contrast to the silky smooth, rich in colour, finely finished hand carved features.
Open the lid to find the secret sculpted chambers where Vancouver Island bugs once burled and lived: these are now resident-free and preserved on the underside of the top lid, and on a second hidden lid within the box. The second, inner lid opens into a small, precious display and storage area measuring 5 1/8" L x 3 3'4" W x 2 3/4" deep with one organizational tray of three compartments. The smallest compartment being 1" x 2 1/2" to largest 1 5/8" x 3" and 3/4" deep. There is a 1 1/2" deep open storage area.

The interior of the main jewelry box is 14 1/4 long x 4 1/4 wide x 3 1/2 deep.
There are two organizational trays 3/4" deep with a 1 1/2" open space under the trays adding a third storage layer.
-One tray has 11 organizational compartments, with one large compartment 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" and 10 small compartments measuring 1 x 1/2" up to 2 8/8" x 2".
-The second tray has three compartments from 3 1/2" x 3 7/8" to 5 3/4" x 3 3/4"
The interior walls and trays are coated in a deep brown velvet flock.
The floor of each compartment is lined in a rich brown soft faux fur.
The bottom has a leather covering for furniture protection.
