"This painting came from a photograph by Vance Hanna. Vance is a professional photographer from Vancouver. With his permission I have painted from his original photo. Originally I thought this photo was taken at night and so I called it Midnight Set. Upon talking to Mr. Hanna, I was informed that the photo was taken in February, in the afternoon after a snowstorm had passed. The boat was fishing herring out of Prince Rupert. I decided to keep the name and Vance also thought it would make a good story. The light and dark tones are wonderful in this picture and I am really happy with how it turned out."  - Dan Telosky -
