This a small lidded basket traditionally woven by Nuu-chah-nulth master weaver, Charlotte Carpenter. Charlotte inherited her grandmother's wooden molds which had been specially carved for shaping the basket weaving.
The bog grasses are hand picked and dyed by Charlotte.
The pattern of sea otter and whale are two of Charlotte's many signature designs.
