The West Coast Story
"I’ve been diving deep into the world of astrology these past few years as I search for meaning and answers in this constantly shifting and expanding journey called life. It’s been extremely rewarding studying my ancestral karmic makeup and understanding how it all unfolds in my family as we dance and flow with the planets year after year. 2020 has been a powerful year for my spirit, as it’s the first time that Saturn and Uranus have lined up perfectly with the Earth since the year I was born. As I slowly return home, stumbling out of the dark night of my soul, I gather the tinder and stoke the fire as the light of a new paradigm creeps in. This self-portrait embodies this return to oneness and the light that shines through the cracks of transformation. Depicted are a few of my favourite tools I’ve used throughout my life as medicine to maintain balance and find inner peace. Like love, creativity for me is the fabric that binds everything in the universe. Whether I’m surfing, painting, tree planting, split-boarding, playing music, skateboarding or sketching I’m connecting with this truth and it allows me to transcend my fears, expand my awareness, and return to the present."
