"Our Provincial bird in British Columbia is this loud and proud Steller's Jay. Curious and friendly they are constant observers of us with a tilt of the head and flap of their wings. I wanted to capture the two tone blues in the feathers and display a strong black crown in this piece. The background represents a flush of spring green and fresh cool spring winds."
