"This piece was a collaboration from a client who has spent more than 10 years visiting north eastern Vancouver Island to observe a pod of orcas known as the A30s. I chose one of his photographs to represent three generations of females. I wanted the water to be the focal point creating a subtle but marked transition from the calm background of the ocean to the surprise of the pod surfacing towards the boat."
