"Swamp lantern or also known as Skunk Cabbage gives you two clues. In spring is rises out the deep dark black muck of the rainforest and has a distinctive odor too. This plant is known as a thermo-regulator taking its cue from increasing daylight and creating it's own heat to start growth. A big sunny yellow jungle plant in our temperate rainforest."
