"When sea urchins are alive they are covered in spikes and are the favourite food of sea otters. These sea urchins are rarely found along the seashore intact, the shells are very thin and have an incredible symmetrical decoration. I loved studying these and reproducing the dots and patterned lines but my favourite is the bold blue background."
